Care & Maintenance
- Should your hearing protectors get wet with rain or perspiration, remove the inner foam cushions and allow to air dry. Place in an airing cupboard, but do not subject to hot surfaces.
- Hair and skin oil can cause ear seals and cushions to deteriorate, crack or harden, these should be replaced every six months to help maintain your hearing protector’s effectiveness.
- Avoid hanging your hearing protector on sharp object that can damage the headband or cup seals.
- Do not bend, stretch or malform the headband, this will reduce the protection afforded by the hearing protector.
- When worn in conjunction with safety spec’s or sunglasses, please lift the ear cup and place over the spectacle sidearm. Inserting the sidearm without lifting the seal may cause premature damage to the ear seal.
- With hearing protectors using with alkaline batteries, always use two batteries of the same type. Rechargeable batteries will offer a much reduced running time. Do not store the hearing protectors for long periods with the batteries installed. These may leak and cause damage.
- Hearing protectors with Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries; should there need for them to be stored away for a period of time – then please stored with a full charge to prevent battery damage.
- Disposable of Alkaline and Lithium Ion batteries. Please follow local guidelines & regulations.
- Please note that radio earmuffs operating in poor reception areas will slip from stereo (sound in both cups) to mono (sound in a single cup) listening. This is not a product fault but reflects your location in relation to the radio transmitter. Moving closer or within line of sight will remedy this.
- Cleaning: Use a damp soft micro fibre cloth to remove any soling. Dry with a dry micro fibre cloth. Do not use any cleaning products, these may cause damage to the appearance of your hearing protector.
